A Day In The Life Of A Chicken!

We have been having so much fun with these sweet little chickens. They are so neat to have around and their little noises that they make are surprisingly peaceful! These hens spend all morning long into the afternoon laying their eggs and it's quite the process. They each take turns in the nesting box's squawking at each other to hurry up!

Lately Papa and Amma have been getting around 4 to 6 eggs each day! Sometimes they get one giant egg that is a double yoker! That poor chicken:-( We all think the eggs taste wonderful including Skylar who ate almost one whole scrambled egg by herself this morning! They taste just a little richer than store bought eggs so thank you to the dear chickens for all you're hard work!

Once they've all laid their eggs for the day they get to finally come out of the coop! They all can hardly wait to come out and get to work finding little worms and bugs. They wait so patiently by the door and then practically fly out of the coop sometimes! I think all chickens should be free range because it makes them so happy to roam around!
